He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Gomez Aponte and Margarita Martinez Rodriguez; his wife Providencia Gomez Rodriguez Morales; and his brothers, Francisco, Rafael, Victor, Luis and Pedro.
He is survived by: his children, Carmen Rosa (Hector Rosa) and Luis Gomez (Migdalia Gomez); his grandchildren, Luis Gomez II, Joscelyn Gomez, Jovanna Soto (Javier Soto), Stacy Rosa, Marc Rosa and Kristina Rosa; his great grandchildren, Beckham Ezyk, Alianna Soto, Kamylah Soto, Aurora Soto, Kataliah Soto and Jaleah Rosa; and his siblings, Jose Antonio, Carmen De Jesus, Miguel, Natividad, Irizarry and Ignacio Irizarry.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral Home and Cremation Services (220 N Main St, East Longmeadow, MA 01028). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Cathedral (260 State St, Springfield, MA 01103).
