He was predeceased by: his brother Paul McCarter. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis A. McCarter (Snow); his children, David W. McCarter (Eleanor) of Mansfield, Donna M. Jenssen (Rich) of Mansfield, Barbara S. Hathaway (Tim) of Norton and Scott C. McCarter of Stoughton; and his sister Janet Laffey of Onset. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
