He was predeceased by: his parents, Claxton Joiner and Marypaul Joiner (Lallier). He is survived by: his wife Arlene F. Somers (Chipman); his children, Renee D. Somers of East Providence, RI and Derek Somers of Stoughton; his grandchildren, Luke Somers, Calise Somers and Brendan Somers; and his sister Paulette Kennedy of Brockton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, funeral services will be private with a celebration of life at a later date.
