He was predeceased by: his wife Mary J. Gavin (Whynot); his parents, John J. Gavin and Phyllis Gavin (Vallis); and his brothers, Michael, Leo, John and Philip Gavin.
He is survived by: his children, Phyllis M. Mello (Kurt) of Holbrook, Edward T. Gavin, Jr. of Middleboro, Mary E. Dore (Sean) of Braintree, David M. Gavin (Anne) of West Bridgewater, John J. Gavin (Suzanne) of Plymouth and Paula J. Fisk (John). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Farley Funeral Home (358 Park St, Stoughton, MA 02072). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
