He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Marilyn Dropkin (Ginsberg); his children, Steven (Sheryl Dropkin) and Laurie (Steven Schertzer); his siblings, Dorothy, Leo Lebowitz and Gertrude "Git" Dropkin; his grandchildren, Susan, Chad Simmons, Amanda, Barry Kaufman, Melissa, Keith Kirkland, Andrea and Steven Mackey; and his great grandchildren, Samantha "Sami", Lia Simmons and Max Kirkland.
