He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Barer and Isabel Barer (Cohen). He is survived by: his wife Shirley Barer; his sons, Brian Barer, Howard Barer and Stuart Barer (Kathleen Kelley); his grandson David Barer; and his great grandchild Camron Barer.
