He was predeceased by: his grandparent Rufino S. Avelar. He is survived by: his parents, Rufino M. "Finny" of Stoughton and Gail M. Avelar (Hammond) of Stoughton; his brother Adam B. Avelar of Brooklyn, NY.; his grandparents, Maria M. Avelar of Stoughton, Edwin H. Hammond of Canton and Christine "Tina" Hammond; and his aunts and uncles, Armanda Avelar Knitter, Amy Duquette (Peter), Carol Hammond, Nancy Nagleschmidt (Fritz) and Kathleen Knowles (Wayne). He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
