He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Sevity (Steere); his parents, Sevity Benko and Franciska Benko; and his sisters, Vilmos Csanad, Ferenc Sevity, Margit Csanad, Andras Karoly Csanad, Magdolna Sevity and Elemer Sevity.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Stephen Powell of Valrico, FL, Scott Powell of Uxbridge, MA, Sandra Powell of Harrisville, RI and Susan Nordin of Harrisville, RI. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
