He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Blackburn (Ferguson); his daughter Penny Jane Blackburn; and his brother Robert Blackburn. He is survived by: his sons, William Blackburn (Susan) of Swansea and John W. Blackburn of Westport; his grandchildren, William Blackburn and Amy Swihart (Mark); his great grandchildren, Mason, Emily and Natasha; and his sisters, Ruth Valley (Joe) of Swansea, Barbara Smith of Swansea, Virginia Orzechowski and Alma Chace. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
