Lawrence R. Machado Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence R. Machado Sr. of Swansea, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 17, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Machado and Hermenia Machado (Camara-Cambra); his brothers, Paul, George, Carl and Edward; and his brother-in-law Philip Scolaro.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Machado (Scolaro); his siblings, Robert D. Machado of Fall River, Ronald W. Machado of Sterling, VA, Judith Wong of Westport, Sandra Machado of Rehoboth, Patricia Nicolan of Westport, Roger Machado of Florida and Sharon Machado of Fall River; his siblings-in-law, Richard Scolaro of Swansea and Agnes Rego of Tiverton, RI; his grandchildren, Lawrence R. Machado III, Melissa Machado, Ashley Locketti, Alexis Cobb, Tyler Karras, Joshua Prior, Kayla Prior, Lindsey Prior, Timothy Machado, Jeremy Machado, Nicholas Pierotti, Andrew Machado and Hudson Machado; and his great grandchildren, Brayden Cobb, Logan Cobb, Brielle Machado, Lawrence R. Machado IV, Gianna Green, Kaley Green and Dawson Winninghoff.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Silva-Faria Funeral Home (730 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 8:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Dominic's Church (1277 Grand Army of the Republic Hwy, Swansea, MA 02777).
