She was predeceased by: her parents, Joao Peter B. and Emelia Moniz (Tavares); and her sister Cynthia O'Reilly. She is survived by: her children, Deborah "Debb" Almeida of Swansea and Manuel Almeida III (Jodi) of Swansea; her grandson Chad Almeida; and her siblings, Gilberta Smith of Aurora, CO, John Moniz of Fall River, Al Manica of Houston, TX and Laurinda Costa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
