Mary E. Cardoza Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary E. Cardoza of Swansea, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James McCabe and Sophia McCabe (Dubiel); her siblings, Patrick McCabe and Jean Cunningham; and her daughter-in-law Anne Cardoza.
She is survived by: her husband Antonio Cardoza; and her children, Elizabeth A. Blaisdell (Jeffrey) of Seekonk, Nancy J. Britland of Swansea, Thomas J. Cardoza (Bettiann) of Thompson, CT, Joan M. Botelho of Wareham, David A. Cardoza (Laurie) of Warwick, RI, Ann M. Askew (Glenn) of Somerset, Robert S. Cardoza of Foster, RI, Patricia A. Jefferson (Paul), Dighton and Brian S. Cardoza (Susan) of Somerset. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hathaway Community Home For Funerals (900 Buffinton St, Somerset, MA 02726). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME FOR FUNERALS (900 Buffinton St, Somerset, MA 02726). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Church (530 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea, MA 02777). A burial was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at the Vinnicum Woods Cemetery (165 Vinnicum Rd, Swansea, MA 02777).
