He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Margaret Silva (Phillips); his parents, Joaquin Silva and Grace Irene Silva (Hannant); his brother-in-law Minot A. Edson of West Bridgewater; his son James E. Silva (Debra); and his siblings, Carolyn M. Gorden (Dalton, Paul R.) of Raynham, Silva Gannaway of Raynham and Kathleen Gannaway (Robert) of Raynham.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Edward's memory may be made to the First Congregational Church, Raynham.
