He is survived by : his children, Joseph I. Furtado (Carol) of North Dighton, Manuel Furtado (Colleen) of Taunton, Michael Furtado (Tracy) of Taunton, Mary Aguiar (John) of Somerset, Susan Furtado of Somerset and Debbie Furtado of Bourne; his great grandchild Wesley; and his siblings, Maria De Jesus Silva of Faial Acores, Anjos Furtado of Faial Acores and Gloria Vieira of Providence, RI.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
