She was predeceased by: her parent Silvestra "Sylvia" Silva; her son Jamal F. Cruz; her sister Dolores "Cookie" Silva; her grandparents, Maria "Baba" Barros and Gregorio Silva; and her uncle Jose "Rookie" Almeida.
She is survived by: her sister Program; her son Christopher J. Cruz (Brigitt Neary) of Brockton; her sister Marie Robinson (Lawrence Tobey) of New Bedford; her grandchildren, Sierra and Jalen Cruz; her aunts, Rose Almeida and Dorothy Gomes; her cousins, Cynthia Gomes and Elayne Gomes-Battle (David); her children, Alyssa Battles and Adrianna Battles; and her friend Donald Watson.
She later worked at the Epilepsy Foundation Donation Center in Taunton.
