She was predeceased by: her parent Guilherme; and her child-in-law Joao Sebastiao. She is survived by: her spouse Roque C. Avelar; her parent Luisa A. (Mendonça); her children, Jose O. Avelar (Grace) of Taunton, Maria O. Sebastiao of East Taunton and Renato O. Avelar (Monica) of Berkley; her brothers, Orlando Silveira (Lucinda) and Armando Silveira (Fatima); her grandchildren, Elizabeth "Liz" Aguiar, Jenny, Danny, Lindsey and Lexi Avelar; and her great grandchildren, Noah, Brody, Jayden and Sophia Avelar. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
