He was predeceased by: his spouse Dorothy Tavares (Taylor); his parents, Manuel R. Tavares and Fransilina Tavares (Silver); and his sibling Georgina Galler. He is survived by: his sons, Glen Tavares (Lisa) of Taunton and John Taylor of Fall River; and his siblings, Alice Millott of Tiverton and Mary Brilhante. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
