He was predeceased by: his parent Myrtle Bennett; and his sister Patricia Miles. He is survived by: his wife Janice McBrayer Bennett; his daughter Susan Giddens of Tifton; his brothers, Charles Bennett of Valdosta and Raymond Bennett of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Heather McLean, Katie Bennett and Ross Bennett; and his great grandchild Perrin McLean.
