He was predeceased by: his parents, Elaine Zagarella (Loomis) and Rosario "Russell" Zagarella; and his brother Russell "Joe" Zagarella. He is survived by: his wife Georgianna Zagarella (Roberto); his children, John Zagarella, Jr (Karen Griffen) of Tampa, FL, Dawn (Hassan Said), Patricia "Trish", Paula, Joy and Christy Zagarella; his sister Geri Zagarella (John Jainchill) of Ashby; his aunt Genie (late Lou Fillios); his grandchildren, Pierce, Chloe, Cassandra, Yonga Zagarella, Carly, Curtis Hill, Kendrick Zagarella-Pizzotti, Kareem, Sharif Said and Winston Wigglesbottom Zagarella; his great grandchildren, Liam, Christopher Hill and Leo Lopez; his sibling's children, Kate Bruce and Marike Jainchill; and his cousins, Penny Billings, Dede Downey and Laurie Grant. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's memory to the East Cambridge Little Baseball League.
