He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Karen G. Forrester (Buehler); his parents, Helen V. Forrester (Sanders) and Harold R. Forrester; his children, Bob J. Forrester (Erika), Jason M. Forrester, Matthew R. Forrester, Sandra L. Bridges (Archie) and Julie D. Dargie (Joseph); and his siblings, John Forrester, Janet Shook and Karen Forrester. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
