She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Edward and Martha Pettis (Makie); her husband Henry "Hank" Barrows, Jr.; and her brothers, Richard, Harold "Buzzy" and Roger Pettis.
She is survived by: her children, Peter (Maura), Karen Barrows Fowler of Danville, Virginia, Mark (Liz) and Wendy (Leo Brennan); and her grandsons, Kevin Hurley, Stephen Barrows, Peter Barrows, Scott Brennan, Sean Brennan and Patrick Fowler. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
