He was predeceased by : his parents, Dennis J. Looney and Rosalie A. Looney (Gallagher); his sons, Dennis, III and Joseph; and his brother David.

He is survived by : his wife Marie Murphy Looney; his children, Susan M. Looney of Wellesley and William G. Looney (Jennifer W. Looney) of Dudley; and his grandchildren, Katerina and Andre Looney.
