He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Bailen Kateman; and his parents, Dr. Abraham and Jeannette Kateman. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey L Kateman (Namyon) of Beverly Hills, California, Jonathan B. Kateman (Millie) of Sudbury, Massachusetts and Jill Glashow (Jason) of Wellesley, Massachusetts.; his grandchildren, Hana Kateman, Emma Kateman, Joshua Kateman, Benjamin Kateman, Samantha Kateman, Jude Glashow, Anna Glashow and Caleb Glashow; his sister Amy; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Rubin of Westford, Dr. David and Helene Bailen of Newton.
