He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Amalia Zannaras Serafim and Evangelos Serafim; his wife Leta; his daughters, Amalia Serafim (David Hartnagel) and Annie Serafim (Ioannis Baltopoulos); and his grandchildren, Zoe, Grace, Joni, George, Eva and Philip.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Philip's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
