He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Eleanor Studley Hurd; his wife Lonna L Chandler; his former wife Elizabeth Ann Woodcock; his sons, Robert S., Jr. (Ellyn) of Marion, MA, John W "Jack" (Ellen Hresko) of Bainbridge Island, WA, Alexander Ross "Sandy" (Lin Buyher) of Ann Arbor, MI. and Peter S.; his grandchildren, William, Peter, Luke, Eve, Caroline, Sasha, Covey, Tes and Asher; his sister Ginny Downing of Richmond, VA; his nieces, Jennifer and Pamela; his nephew Kirk; and his stepdaughter Kim Nowell.
In lieu of flowers, Bob and his family have asked that donations to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation in the name of Robert S. Hurd be considered instead.
