It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine F. (Mahoney) Bielawa of West Roxbury, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 4, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Emile Bielawa; her daughters, Maureen Celata (Paul) of Dedham, Christine Yaffe (Michael) of West Roxbury and Maryanne Eck (Barry) of Norton; her siblings, Joseph Mahoney of Chelsea, Paul Mahoney and Marie McManus; and her grandchildren, Amanda, Anthony, Melissa Celata, Nicholas, Ashley, Zachary Yaffe, Harrison and Henry Eck. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home (2055 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Theresa of Avila Church (2078 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Catherine may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org or St. Anthony Shrine, 100 Arch Street, Boston MA 02110.
