He was predeceased by: his parents, Isabel Harnish and Leander Harnish; his wife Penny Harnish (Givens); and his children, Jeff Harnish and Kellie Simpson.
He is survived by: his sons, Glenn Harnish (Lisa) of Agawam, Scott Harnish (Holly) and Springfield; his grandchildren, Amanda, Shawn, Lindsie, Charlene, Corey and Julia; and his siblings, Leslie, Dan Harnish, Joyce Reynolds and Patsy Lawrence. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
