He was predeceased by: his father Bartlett Hastings; and his brother Glenn. He is survived by: his mother Ruth "Holly" Hastings (Darling); his brother Andrew Hastings (Stacia) of Westfield; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Hastings of Royalston, MA; his nephews, Matthew Hastings of Westfield, Jesse Hastings (Christiane Leger) of Greenfield and Benjamin Weaver (Liana Rodier) of Cambridge; his daughter Noel Cherubino Chemlen; and his grandchildren, Massimo and Leonardo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alano Club, PO Box 510, Agawam, MA 01001S.
