It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary E Ash of West Springfield, Massachusetts, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 3, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lee and Margaret Lee (O'Shea); and her brother John Joe Lee. She is survived by: her siblings, Bobby Lee, Anna Sullivan and Peggy Goldsmith; her children, Christine Hess (Ralph), Anne Marie Lefebvre (Michael), Maureen Clark (Kevin) and Tom Ashe (Kelley Mickiewicz); her grandchildren, Brennan, Danny, Kaleigh, Lindsey, Ryan, Brianne, Courtney, Shea, Nolan, Tommy, Hannah, Lauren, Alana, Joseph, Gina and Jamie; her former husband Thomas Ashe of Suffield, Connecticut.; and her friend Mary Scahill.

Mary and Ellen met in kindergarten and their friendship endured for decades and just prior to Covid they spent every Tuesday at the Holyoke Mall.
