He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Filip and Josephine Filip (Fonfara); his wife Irene Filip (Kalinowski); and his siblings, Victoria Stadnicki and Henry Filip.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen F. Filip of West Springfield, Roberta J. Filip (Samuel) of Hartford, CT and Gerard S. Filip (Celene) of West Springfield; his grandchildren, Tammy Russell (Michael) of West Springfield, Gerard S. Filip, Jr. (Maggie) of Ludlow, Nathan Filip (Caitlin) of Holden and Jenna Rosado of West Springfield; his great grandchildren, Andrew, Michael, Ryan, Jonathan, Christopher, Vyla, Kiernan, Gabriel, Cayson, Lyla, Pippa and Lincoln; his nieces, Christine Stadnicki and Ann Cote; and his nephew Ronald Matyszczyk. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
