It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Ames (Westborough, Massachusetts), born in Bangor, Maine, who passed away on May 22, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Ames to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Herbert S. Shoppe, Lucilla S. Archer and Linda Mallet; and her parents, Herbert A. Shoppe and Pauline S. Shoppe (Crossman).
She is survived by: her husband William T. Ames; her children, Thomas Ames, Jr. (Priscilla) of Uxbridge, MA and Alison L. Ames (Robert L. Deschamps, Jr.) of Augusta, ME; her grandchildren, Brandon S. Batchelder (Larisa) of Vassalboro, ME and Elizabeth H. Batchelder of Farmingdale, ME; her great grandchildren, Dylan T. Batchelder of Portland, ME, Johnathan W. Batchelder of Vassalboro, ME and Kyle R. Bryant; and her siblings, Sandra L. Trimble (Woodrow) of Kensington, Sally L. Pappas (Thomas) of Kenduskeag, ME and Richard. She is also survived by several nieces, grandnieces, nephews and grandnephews.
