She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilfred Bernier and Malvina Bernier (Samson); her children, Donald A. Fontaine and Diane Melanson (late Gregory); and her sister Jeannette Levesque.

She is survived by : her husband Joseph A. Fontaine; her daughter Denise Goulart (Fontaine); and her siblings, Clarisse Bedard of Tiverton, Pauline Bernier of Sudbury, Bernadette Richard, Rita Michaud, Norman, Roger, Gerard, Fernand, Lucien and Rene Bernier. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
