He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian Platteel and Ruth Platteel (Milford); and his sister Diane Dickess. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Platteel (Sunnerberg); his children, Karen Kelly (Frank) of Weymouth, Peter Platteel (Kathy) of Weymouth, Billy Platteel of Weymouth, Michael Platteel (Jennifer) of Chelmsford and Jim Platteel (Vanna) of Dunstable; and his siblings, Jacquie Howell and Fara McNamara. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
