She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph McCarthy; her children, Wayne Lounge and Karin Richards; and her brother John Dale. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Cynthia Hines (Thomas) of Plympton, Lisa Cara-Donna of Plymouth and Wayne Lounge Jr. of Holbrook; and her great grandchildren, James, Jacob, Megan, Justin, Wayne III, Jonathan, Molly and Nicholas.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Claire may be made to The Last Resort For Cats, 1126 Broadway, Hanover, MA.
