He was predeceased by: his wife Gemma Ward (Leavitt); and his siblings, Marjorie Lawless and George Ward. He is survived by: his children, David F. Ward, Jr. (Nancy) of Abington, Steven Ward (Jinwen) of Quincy, Richard Ward of Weymouth, Marianne Callahan (William) of Kingston, Gemma Martin (late David) of Dedham, Ellen Ward of Weymouth and Kathleen Ward Harraden (David) of Weymouth; his grandchildren, William, Daniel, Joshua, Benjamin, Meaghan, Allison, Emily, Vivian and Riley; his great grandchild Holden; and his brother Joseph Leo Ward of Weymouth. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
