He was predeceased by: his son James T. Fay; and his brother William. He is survived by: his wife Joan Fay (Collins) of Weymouth; his children, Michael J. Fay (Melissa) of Holbrook, Kathleen R. Fay, Esq, William Martindale (Kelli) of Attleboro, Todd Martindale of Weymouth, Patricia Brawley, Francis X. Fay, Jr. and Proud; his grandchildren, Alex, Sydney, Samantha, Will, Chloe, Stephanie, Abby, Maggie and Cosette; and his siblings, Ruth Tobin, Marion Gallagher, Mary Prew, Joseph Fay, James Fay, Charlie, Tommy Fay, Patricia O'Brien and Kay McKay. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
