He was predeceased by: his son Hugh J. Hamilton; and his brother Harold Hamilton. He is survived by: his son Brian M. Hamilton (Deborah) of Canton; his grandchildren, Julia and Christopher Hamilton of Canton; his siblings, Jeanne Callahan and James Hamilton; and his significant other Joni Smith of Canton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the South Shore Support Services, P.O. Box, 890126, Weymouth, MA 02189.
