He was predeceased by: his son Michael J. Hughes; and his sister Mary Foley. He is survived by: his wife Margaret A. (Gray); his children, Joseph Hughes of Natick, Elizabeth Hughes, Brian Hughes of Hathorne and Catherine Black; and his sisters, Catherine Earle and Rita Conlon. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
