He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas McBride and Rose McBride (Doherty); his children, Joanne McBride of Weymouth, Patti Jones of Melrose, Kathy Corrigan (John) of Stoneham, Donna Morris (Rob) of Weymouth and Noreen Keenan (Steve) of Weymouth; his siblings, Robert McBride (Eleanor) of Quincy, Richard McBride (Rosemary) of Hingham, Anne Hilton of Weymouth and Thomas McBride; his wife Jean of Braintree; and his grandchildren, Kyle Jones, Shannon Jones, John Corrigan, Neil Corrigan, Mackenzie Rose Corrigan, Brendan Morris, Abby Morris, Matthew Keenan and Megan Keenan. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews, in-laws, and friends.
He enjoyed gardening, and supported the Silver Foxes in the Alzheimer's walk with his family.
