He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Gomes-Baxter; and his daughter Erica Gomes. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Haltom of Baton Rouge, LA, Gene Gomes of Brockton, Deirdra Jackson of Lynn, Robert Baxter, Jr. (Jessica) of Dorchester and Gregory Gomes; his sister Michelle Baxter of Phoenix, AZ.; and his sibling's child Bayn Baxter-Smith. He is also survived by many stepchildren and grandchildren.
