He was predeceased by: his spouse Elaine Smith (Norris); his siblings, Irving Smith of Rockland and Donald Smith of California; and also Mabel Smith (Litchfield). He is survived by: his child Susan L. Smith; his husband Tim Racicot of Whitman; his sibling-in-law Jackie Murray of Weymouth; and also, Steven A. Smith (Carol Smith) of Abington and Sharlene L. Smith (Jim Delong) of Beaufort, SC..
