He is survived by: his spouse Janice A. O'Connell (Petitti); his children, T. J. O'Connell (Kim) of Holbrook, Jill Lippert (Jim) of Braintree, Brian O'Connell of Braintree, Luke, Brady, Jimmy, Alyssa, Jake, Ashley, Cade and Skylar; his siblings, Daniel O'Connell (Cindy) of Weymouth and Catherine Griffin (Eddie Fallon) of Randolph; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Ciulla and Sal Ciulla of Holbrook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans.
