It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dennis W. Mahoney of Whitman, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Dennis may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dennis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rita M. Mahoney of Whitman; his children, Audrey Andronico (David) of Braintree, Dennis D. Mahoney (Mary) of Kingston and Eoin Mahoney; and his grandsons, Leo, Sam Andronico and Jack Mahoney.
A Mass will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Divine Mercy Parish in Sacred Heart Church (386 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02171). A burial will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
