He is survived by : his parents, Sten Nelson and Clara Nelson (Burton); his children, John Nelson Jr. of Brockton, Timothy Nelson of Brockton and Mary Katherine Nelson of Brockton; and his grandchildren, Eddie, Ricky, Benjamin and Emmett.
