He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Sherry and Blanche Sherry (Lofgren). He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his sons, Richard E. (Lauren Sherry) and James M. (Pamela S. Sherry) of Stoneham; and his grandsons, Mark, Patrick, Ian and Kyle Sherry.

Donations in Edward's memory may be made to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, 320 Haverhill Street, Reading, MA 01867.
