She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Cardinal Newman and Edemena "Sis" Brooks (Rhooms); her husband Robert "Chin" Forrest; her daughters, Lavern Forrest of Wilmington and Rhona Burnett (Robert) of New Jersey; her grandchildren, Tracyann Mburu (K. J.) of Maryland and Robert "Robby" Burnett, Jr. of New York; her great grandchildren, Isabella and Benjamin Mburu; and her siblings, Ferdinand "Ferdie" Brooks, Myrtle "Ivy" Brooks, Roy Brooks, Louis "Louie" Brooks and Robbie Brooks. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
