Virginia Kelly Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Kelly of Wilmington, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 30, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert M. Griffith, Jr. and Dorothy Griffith (Gernet); her son William J. Kelly; her former husband Ronald E. Kelly; and her siblings, Albert Griffith III and Dorothy Laverty (Richard Whittaker).
She is survived by: her children, Michael C. Kelly of Intervale, NH, Katherine A. Hurley (Stephen) of Melrose, MA and Betty Jo Johnson (Steven) of Wilmington, MA; her grandchildren, Melanie Johnson-McShane (Paul), Steven Johnson (Kelly), Jennifer Burke (Jonathan), Katie Hurley, Betsy Soderberg (Carl), Abbie Hurley, Maggie Hurley (Rob Baker), Meghan Mattson (Erik) and Michael Kelly (Hannah Lindh); her great grandchildren, Jeremy, Cole, Riley, Keira, Grace, Stevie, Elle, Brody, Owen, Eliza, August, Josephine, Jeremiah and Jack; and her aunt Blanche. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and her dear.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Nichols Funeral Home (187 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Dorothy's Church (11 Harnden St, Wilmington, MA 01887).
