He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith L. Higgins (Ruff) and Edward William Higgins; his wife Jean M. Higgins (Maintain); and his siblings, James R. Higgins and Joanne H. Wolfley.
He is survived by: his brother Richard J. Higgins; his daughters, Nancy H. Berke (Bruce), Susan H. Leonard (Gregory) and Carol H. Palumbo (Vincent); his grandchildren, Edward, Hunter, Emily, Bradford, Peter, Diana, James, Melissa, Steven and Robert; and his great grandchildren, Gusto, Halcyon, Finn, Archer, Avery and Eliza. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
