He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick McCarthy and Barbara McCarthy (Calcidise). He is survived by: his wife Linda A. McCarthy (Leduc); his sister Bonnie Eggelston (Roy); his siblings-in-law, Robert Leduc and Elaine Collins (Mark); and his nephews, Roy and Stephen Eggleston.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Hospital for Children or the Dakin Humane Society.
