He was predeceased by: his parents, Nancy Messina (Carino) and John Messina. He is survived by: his sons, Matthew J. Messina (Katie Cersale-Messina) of Peabody and Christopher Messina of Winthrop; his sister Rosemary Sammarco (Mike) of Stoughton; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Logan and Paige. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
